Go to a local tourist attraction

Pretend you haven’t seen it before. Bring a camera along and, heck, pretend to be a tourist. Rid yourself of old ideas and allow something to be new again.

Follow railroad tracks

Pack a picnic lunch and follow along the train tracks. There’s a certain element of danger involved when walking on railroad tracks. You don’t know when a train might come charging through, sending an adrenaline rush through your veins.

Go fishing

Even if you don’t catch anything, if you’re with a great group of friends it makes it all worth it. Spending time outside is good for everyone’s soul. For added intrigue, go fishing at night. Gaze at the stars above and enjoy doing nothing (sometimes that’s all fishing is an excuse for).

Give your number to a random person you think is cute

When you’re at a restaurant, if you think the server is cute, just write your number on a napkin or something. That kind of vulnerability is such a rush. And even if you don’t get a call, at least you tried. You never know when you might have just met the one.

Go to the concert of a band you have never heard before

Even better, attend a local band’s concert. Maybe you’ll end up discovering something awesome to add to your music library. If not, at least you can say you tried something new! Instead of being afraid to experience something different, give things a chance. :)

Talk to a random stranger

Just comment on a cool shirt they’re wearing. Or say you like their hair. Or maybe you overhear someone say something about a band they liked or a place they went. Ask a complete stranger about themselves. Maybe you’ll make a new friend for life, or at the very least a friendly acquaintance that day.
